Once in a while these caricatures take me by surprise. I started this one not knowing exactly which direction to go in. He ended up with a whole lot of personality and a more graphic feel about him than I expected. I really like how he tured out. Once they're finished, I usually keep these art cards up where I can see them in my studio. I get fairly attached to some of them. I have a special place where they are displayed for a while before I sell them. I was a little sad to see Rutherford go.

My first time visiting your blog. This is all so good. Gonna have to sign up for your newsletter.

This guy is a deadringer for my cousin Jack... in the eyes and the hint of a grin coming out in the next instant. In fact, all your pieces seem to be springing into some action just about to happen... the next expression or the next bit of conversation. Way cool.
